Exhaust mid section pipes
Exhaust mid section pipes
Anyone tried a aftermarket H pipe? Is it good? I think the PSE on my turbo s has a stock H pipe with a resonator, I do wanna try a h pipe without resonator, with fabspeed downpipe and Capristo mufflers...
So far as I've learned is the H pipe increases the low end torque and the x pipe increases the high rpm power what a bout the straight pipes compare with xpipe and hpipe on PTT? Want about the sound? Which is louder?

Would like to know this as well .
Experimented with xpipe on the cayenne and hated it . My butt dyno feelt that straigh cat only was waster. Sending gas back to the headers would hurt the impellers of the turbocharger , no ?

Thx for the reply cayenne92, so I'm not the only one who's curious about this question, all I know is they said the x-pipe helps to excavate the exhaust as it creates a siphon effect to help pull the exhaust from the other side.
I saw this on a camaro forum said the cross over pipe, be it a X or H - pipe , equalize pressure and aids in exhaust scavenging, that means that you have the exhaust pulses helping you fully evacuate the burnt air and fuel out of the cylinders before clean air and fuel are dumped in for the next combustion cycle.mixing the nasty burnt stuff in there will reduce the amount of power that can be made. He also said if you have a automatic and deleted the resonator with only straight pipe you no longer have a cross over pipe which is definitely not optimal...
The stock PSE exhaust mid part on my car has a resonator and a H pipe, but the Capristo one on my car right now is straight pipe without cross over pipe, dats what I'm worrying about, and there's not any after market h pipe or x pipe can fit the Capristo muffler section...
