Carmax??
Carmax??
I’m currently in the market for a used 2011 PTT. The prices are starting to fall within my budget. I’ve found some PTT’s at Carmax with reasonable prices. After doing searches, it seems members have only sold their cars to Carmax and not purchased. I too have sold 2 cars to Carmax but have not purchased anything. I sold both my 2011 base Panamera and 2014 CLS550 to Carmax and made a profit on both. I loved my Panamera but it was lacking power so I jumped into the 2014 CLS550. The power was there on the CLS550 but it just wasn’t a Porsche.
My questions are:
-Has anyone purchased a Panamera from Carmax? and how was the Carmax purchasing experience?
-How many miles did it have on it?
-How is it holding up now?
-What type of extended warranty did you get?
If the majority of replies are positive and the pricing is right, I might finally be getting back into a Panamera….but this time with more power!
Thanks

Carmax panameras look good. Hopefully you find something you like.
I just purchased a 2011 PTT. It took some time to find what I wanted with options on it. If you buy a 2011 you still have a little factory warranty; which is mission critical with a PTT. Perhaps carmax can sell you an extended warranty? Let us know.
Good luck!

I bought my c4s from CarMax and it was a very simple and good experience. They give you a 5 day buy back guarantee, which allows you to give the car some real world test driving and also allows you time to take it to a local PCar dealer for a ppi for more piece of mind.
I personally looked at carmax ptts for a while and ultimately decided that since there were often imperfections in the car they don't mention online or over the phone, and since the mileage was typically higher than what i saw elsewhere, i went with a cpo. Same comfort of getting a warranty, and an inspected car (although my cpo had to have $2800 in repairs on day one...which were free but shouldn't have been there), and no deductible for 2 years. The carmax extended warranties have deductibles and you might pay enough over the first few years to warrant getting a CPO. Just my .02!
