Can you guys please measure your temperature that is coming our of your center vents?

Just use any thermometer (I used the one you use for grilling, it put it inside the vent) and set your temp to 60 and fan speed 2-3 and please let me know what you get. I would really appreciate this!

Right now it seems like my dealer is telling me that my AC functions normally, but I know 100% it is not normal as air is coolish, but not cold. The coldest I can get is 48 where other cars I've tested (non Panamera) were around 40. That 8 degrees difference makes that air cold and not coolish.
I'll try that tomorrow on the way to work. gotta look for my bbq thermometer

Thanks! that would help a lot. Just stick it in the center console and put your AC on manual 60 with 2-3 bars. I just need to hear from any Panamera owner that this car can go lower than 48 in order to go and make a big deal at the dealer.

Yesterday I was playing around more with this and noticed that my right center vent (passenger side) is about 3 degrees cooler than my left driver side center vent. I wonder if that's normal..

Also, any idea where that motor is and what they need to remove in order to replace it?
Not sure where it is but considering the noise its in the center right area. i imagine its accessed by pulling radio etc...

Best to describe the sound is like blowing air out of a tube with the flap that is only partially opened

hope that makes sense.

Today I wanted to check if my cabin filter is possibly super dirty which might restrict the air flow and make fan louder and found out that the cover that supposed to lock the filter in was not in place and was simply laying on the cover that covers the passenger side foot rest area (where the filter and fan is located). I placed it back and that seemed to improve the airflow, now with 2 bars I get an OK airflow which I can definitely feel, before I had to go to 3 bars just to feel something.

I'm surprised that my dealer didn't even check this when my car was there last time for the AC complain...

That said, I think my temperature is still not that cold, but at least I get a decent airflow now without a noise!

I made the original post, so I wanted to get back to those who are interested about what I found out when I finally got it into the dealer today.

The dealer said they ran a recalibration of the fans (I'm sorry I didn't pay more attention, I will call to ask exactly what it was they did if anyone would like). The service rep also told me the fans would likely run quieter on the mono setting because they wouldn't be running with two different sets of instructions for left and right.

The result of the calibration is that the fans are making much less noise and the first two bars are very quiet. Bar three is sounds more like what bar one sounded like before. In fact, the first two bars are very quiet now. The other thing I noticed is that the air is much cooler when the AC button is turned on. As I mentioned earlier, this is my second Panamera, and now with the calibration the second car sounds just like the first one and I am very happy with the result.

One thing I didn't mention was that just before I bought the car, it was checked out by a Porsche dealer who put in a new air conditioning compressor. I had forgotten that this was done (it was on the Carfax report). I thought the air was not very cold, but now I think it was related to the fans, not the compressor, because it was very cool at a higher setting after the fix.

Thanks for the info. Is there any way you can measure your ait temp at the center vent by dropping thermometer there and set your temp to 60 with 3 bars? I'm just curious to see what is the standard temp for Panameras out there.

Thanks, that was my problem. I was very upset when the fan suddenly was noisy while it used to be quiet. I never thought it might be this.
I turned this function of and the car is quiet again.
