335mm rear tires too wide?
I have a 2011 Panamera Turbo and want to downsize from 22" wheels back to 20" wheels. I am thinking either 20x11 or 20x12 in the rear and 20x9.5 or 20x10 in the front. I am running 315/25/22 and 265/30/22 currently.
How wide of a tire/wheel setup can I run in the rear without modification? The stock wheel/tire size is 20x11 and 295/35/20 which nets a 28.1" diameter. In my research I found that I can maintain about the same diameter if I go with a 335/30/20 in the rear and 255/40/20 in the front.
Does anyone know how wide I can go on the rear tires? Thanks!

I actually mounted 335/30/20 Michelin PS2 tires on the 10" rim and it cleared.
The tire shop said it is plenty of space to get the rim widened to 11" (tire will expand another 0.4" ).
Here is another thread of another member being able to mount the same width tire for 22" rims and no clearance issues.

Ended up using 20x12 wheels with 335 tires.
In sports plus, on big bumps and high speeds, tires will rub a little, however, I believe offset can be adjusted to push the wheel in.
Regular suspension settings you will not rub.
Traction on the corners is slightly better, but i do not believe straight acceleration it will matter due to camber limitations.

After using this set up for few years, I will probably go back to original 295 wide tire with Porsche spec (NO, I believe) on the 12" rim.

Hey all, I did a quite amount of test fitment and sizes when I installed mine while playing around with some spacers. Although I'm running 21in wheels/tires, I might be able to recommend some sizes/offsets.
Ginuwine209... I'm running 315 on 11in at 49ET offset. You should be able to run that on the stock 20x11 with 315. Stock offset on those are 68ET, so you may even want to run 15mm or 20mm spacers to push the wheels out more.
andrius453.... 335 on 12"...you would probably need about 72ET offsets in the rear, or 3mm more outwards at 69ET(haven't verified this, but it looks like it should clear). My quess, your 12in wheel is likely running less than 69ET. This would be fine with narrower tires.
Angel Blanco...I'm running 315 on 11" and i feel like it bulges out just enough. Might be possible but 335 might be a struggle for installers on 10.5", even more struggle on 10". SUV's and trucks run narrow rims and wide tires often but they run a 60's sidewall profile rather than 30's profile for the sidewall to curve outwards.
