Will these Tires work?

I have ordered a new set of custom wheels for my car. They have passed through engineering, turning and now onto milling then finishing. Hoping to have them within the next few weeks.

They are 20 x 9 in front and 20x11 in the rear. I asked what size tire will fit these wheels and have clearance on my car and they told me 245/30/20 on the front and 325/25/20 on the rear.

They seem very wide on the rear and low profile. Will these sizes actually work?

Jibberingloon is infamous around these parts
What offset are you running on your wheel?

This will have a slight impact on the tyres...

I believe engineering said they would be +45 on the front and +58 on the rears.

325 might be a tight fit, that is the same offset and width as me in the rear and just from eye balling it I would say 315 is the max I would want to go with since I am lowered. I would see what Richard (Telum) has on his rear as well since I know he runs beefier tires than me

Sorry I had thought I was 12" in the rear but turns out I am not.

According to Tire Rack's info, those rear tires need a 11.5-12.5" rim. Plus, the sidewall is only going to be about 3" tall - not giving the tire much space to work back to the rim.

Aside from that, 325 is massively wide. I'm not sure if it'll fit without rubbing issues.

I'm curious, is it really necessary or are you doing it for show?

I'm only running 285's - I kept my wheel sizes the same as my OEM 7-spokes, just changed the offset. I also went with +10 tire width front and rear, which is the size used on the V8VS. (I didn't want to go larger because I didn't want the added weight.)

I am not doing it for show it is just what the wheel manufacturer suggested. When I heard what they recommended I began to question their recommendations. I told them I will be lowering the car with the new springs I received from Stuart so I think 325 will be a to wide. I am just looking for suggestions on a 11x20 tire since I am new to the AM community. Maybe I should give Tire Rack a call?

I do a lot of research on Tire Rack. They've got a great website for it.

This is an excellent thread on wheel/tire offset for the vantage. Keep in mind that the wheel offset and tire size work together to determine where and how much of the wheel well is filled, and if you have clearance issues on the inside or outside.

For reference, this is what "doublelow7" car looked like with the HRE's referenced above. Aggressive, but to my eye, perfect fit.

You can use a wheel and tire calculator like this. Plug in the stock sizes, or the sizes used in the above thread, and compare your new wheels/possible tires.

Thank you bluebarchetta. I agree, the Vantage S with the HRE's are perfect. I actually showed that picture to the manufacturer of my wheels and said this is the perfect size and color.

After much research I came to agree that the 325's are too wide. I looked at 305's but could not find one that would handle the proper load so I have ordered 295/30/20 Michelin Pilot Sport for the rears and 255/35/20 for the fronts.

Are these on yet? Curious how they fit. I was considering those widths for my next set (running 245 front and 285 rear right now).

My wheels should be arriving any day so the new springs and tires should be on next week. I will report any fitment issues.
