I think each person has certain things that move them about a car. For some it is looks, others speed (some people seem to live and die by 0-60 acceleration), comfort etc. For me it is driver feedback(the main reason I turned the Gallardo and all my TT 911's to RWD), what the car conveys back to me when I drive it. The E63 is a very nice car (have owned many Benz's, just bought my girlfriend a GL550), very fast, but it is missing that feeling I look for. In my opinion the Panamera is the best sedan if you want all of the things I mentioned above. I have gone through a lot of cars in my lifetime in my younger more foolish days I owned 16 at a time (now a more modest 7), and I would buy something(than mod the hell out of it) just because I wanted to something new, and many, many times I would get rid of these cars with less than 2000 miles on them. Turns out my behavior was due to Asbergers (own over 50 suits most never tailored since I never wear suits, 150 pairs of shoes 120 watches and so on) so I found another way of focusing myself and began writing novels. Sorry did not mean to give a story of my life, but when someone who has a great car already and says they want something different, it always makes me think it is not the car that is the problem. We live in a the next best thing society and have been subjected to countless advertising telling us so. In my opinion sometimes the last best thing is still the best thing. Only you know the reasons you are looking for a change, and perhaps you will find something that is better for you. Good luck

As Mrprice said , panamera turly is the best multirole sedan , period. The only way you can upgrade is by sacrifising space and getting a 991TT

This looks pretty sweet. I read up and it looks like about 1500/yr maintenance and 3-4k/yr repairs average.

Does that sound right? I see the 0 to 60 is 4 seconds ! Nice. Will it trash the car to drive it like a porsche on highways etc?

Dodge Hellcat Charger...in Cop stealth color...money leftover for what ever, and then through it a way in 3 years.

Just thinking out of the box.

You'er right, about the Caddy, I was going for cheep thrills...

How about an Aston Vanquish 4 door... That may be a step up... But for Chicago roads/traffic I'll stick with the Hellcat.

Mark.

Thanks for the thoughtful response. Great food for thought. Upon further reflection I think I may want less turbo lag and more acceleration. Maybe some aftermarket work on my current car could do that, hopefully without causing issues that aren't covered by warranty.

I'm guessing they are an ear ringer from the ones I heard at the track.

I don't know how you compare anything else to the PTT. I don't see any upward movement by switching brands. You would be looking for another platform if you want to upgrade performance or upgrade luxury. There is not another vehicle that pairs the two better than the PTT.

Do not get a quattroporte. I have a fully loaded Novitec GTS with 600 + Hp/tq, it's relatively reliable and turns head everywhere I go. But coming from a Panamera 4s, the porsche is superior in every way. The Mas feels like a rushed, unfinished product. Fit and finish is average at best, design is generic and the driving experience is bland.

If you can pull it off, take a look at 2015 bentleys, they are giving those away.

I have to agree with some of the previous posts....you have arguably the best 4 door sport sedan in the world. There was a previous post somewhere where the S7 and the AMG E series was compared to the PTT, and the PTT was selected as the best overall hands down.

You asked what the difference between a TT and a TTS might be. I have a PTTS, and can tell you that there is a very slight difference in 0-60, but the PTTS seems to climb to higher speeds faster and can reach a higher speed that the PTT. So..for everyday driving, really no difference, but you will see your difference when the car is pushed into performance.

I wonder if your getting a little bored with the PTT? or just a desire for something new? (Mr. Price's comments).....

I love my PTTS, and the only car I would consider trading/selling it for would be the new Acura NSX (which I have owned 4), or the upcoming Hybrid 4 DR sedan that Porsche has been teasing us with pictures.

Let us know what you do...
