Touchy grabby brakes at final stop

Was wondering, When rolling to a complete stop, it is difficult to come to a perfectly smooth stop without the brakes grabbing at the very last part of the stop. Its very slight but I always drive with stopping smoothly by slowly releasing the brake pedal at the very end of the stop. This way the car comes to an even level stop. car seems to want to slightly grab at the very end, or if rolling at parking lot speeds around 3-5 mph and braking hard, car would jerk forward.

just checking if this is normal or if switching to different brake pads would make a difference, thanks
