Blutooth pairing and audio

Hi all,

Question regarding blutooth.

My wife and I are trying to keep both of phones, Galaxy Note paired. It seems no rhyme or reason to which phone it picks up. I would assume if we are both in the car it should default to the top of the list of devices, no? It sometimes does, sometimes doesn't.

Other question is, when the phone does get picked up automatically, it seems it's paired for phone operation but if we were to try and play Spotify it doesn't play through the car's stereo until we go through about 3 menus and select phone on the device list.

What are we missing here? 2015 MB Eclass is much simpler and will just start playing automatically if I'm on blutooth.

Thanks for the replies.

I'm not 100% certain. But I believe that the car will automatically connect BT to the phone of the person who used their key to unlock the car.

You are aware that you can save the specific seat/mirror/convenience setting preferences to each key? And that when the other key unlocks/starts the car, that driver's different radio station settings, AC settings, speed alert, door locking/sounds, welcome home, etc. settings change?

Start there. Understand how to set preferences for each key. Then the BT will become more clear.

Important hint: saving convenience settings to Seat Memory 1 or 2 is not correct. You have to press Set and then the third button, with the symbol of the key on it.

Thanks for the info. We will work on setting the key functions.
