What is the symposer?
After hearing the sport exhaust note while down at the Atlanta Porsche experience center on the same car I drive, I noticed mine sounded different. Mine does not have that "burble" sound when you let off the gas. I asked them in atlanta, and they said mine should and I should take it in for service.
I took it in to my local dealer, and they found no problems with my sport exhaust, but said the reason I don't hear this is because I don't have a symposer on my car. I looked this up and it is an add on to the car that is supposed to enhance the sound of the exhaust, but if I'm reading right, it doesn't make sense that it would effect that "burbling" noise.
My car is a 2012 PTTS, and I drove a 2015 PTTS in atlanta. Maybe the exhaust is different??
Any input is appreciated.

I believe that the burbling is in the engine software programming. My 2013 GTS had the burbling as you noted. After a service campaign that was applied, I've not heard the burbling. The symposer with the sport exhaust is a membrane that allows more of the exhaust noise to enter the cabin.
It is not the exhaust note, which would be coming under and from the back of the car. It is the sound, from under the hood, of air being sucked into the engine and compliments/enhances the sound of the exhaust note.
It also is most definitely not, as some have proposed on this and the 911 site, an electronic "vroom" sound that comes out of the stereo.
Originally, the Symposer was only to be available with Sport Exhaust in the 991 Carreras and the Panamera GTS, but don't know if they later offered it on other cars. I don't know if the Symposer is a separate option: it automatically came with Sport Exhaust in those two cars.
The burbling occurs when you back off the throttle and there is a sudden, uneven exhaust pressure aft of catalytic converters. Kind of like when you blow up a balloon and let it go. Or a Whoopee Cushion. And it is most commonly only heard when driving in Sport and especially Sport Plus mode.
By definition, any Turbo is a quieter car than its normally-aspirated version because the turbos act as additional mufflers on each side and knock down a lot of the sound before the exhaust gases get to the mufflers. So even with Sport Exhaust engaged, a PTTS may still be quieter than a PGTS with Sport Exhaust off.
