Confused about PDCC and suspension options
Confused about PDCC and suspension options
Hi, I'm currently looking for a used 4S or Turbo (not Turbo S though) and I'm confused about PDCC. I've been using a Porsche VIN decoder to see which options different cars have and some of them say "Adaptive Air Suspension", but it doesn't mention PDCC specifically. Does this mean the car has air suspension to raise and lower the car, but not PDCC? Here's an example - http://www.vindecoderz.com/EN/check-...AB2A72CL061276
Also, is PDCC part of any of the major options packages like Sport Chrono Plus? Is there anyway to tell from looking at pictures of the center console if a particular car has PDCC?
Ideally, I want a Panamera with PDCC and Sport Chrono Plus. I don't see a lot of used Panamera's with air suspension, but hopefully that doesn't mean not a lot of PDCC cars!
Thanks in advance for any help!

It's a major option ($5000) that should be listed but you can't see anything on the console. It's not the air suspension and it will be way less common than air suspension.

PDCC is included in the 'Sports Package', which also includes PTV, Sports Chrono and Sport Exhaust. I suspect that this is the way most cars with PDCC were optioned. However, it is a stand-alone option as well.
You can tell if a car has Sports Chrono by looking in the menu in the dash - it will be one of the last options that allows you to stop/start the chronograph. I also believe that this includes the 'Sports Plus' button in the center console - hitting the Sports Plus button will not only create a more aggressive shift profile, but it will lower the car too, so that means you have an air suspension.
If you have both the Sports Plus and Sport Exhaust buttons, I would strongly suspect that you have PDCC and PTV.
The easiest way to figure out options is to contact a Porsche dealer - they can pull the original options list.

The GTS model comes standard with Sports Plus and Sport Exhaust buttons. However it does not come with PDCC unless you pony up the extra $5k.
Very true, although the OP indicated that he was specifically looking at the 4S or Turbo.

Also, pre-2014 there was no sport package. PDCC was always a standalone option, which I suspect increased its rarity. I searched for a year to find a used GTS with both PDCC and ACC. I'd say only 5% of GTSs and Turbos (at least 2014 and earlier) have PDCC.
