Turbo 2 Stage Rear Wing

Not sure if anyone has noticed, but i only noticed this on the weekend just past.

ONLY if the SPORT PLUS button is pressed, the rear wing will come out, and extend. (or if its manually extended with the button)

But after about 100 kph (60 mph), the rear wing tilts, and stays tilted until speed drops below about 70kph (45mph)

I only noticed this on the weekend. When going over 100kph, and say sport plus is activated, look in your rear view mirror, and then just press the "SPORT" button and the wing will tilt back down to normal, then press the sport plus button, and it will tilt up.
Very cool. Never noticed it before.

Am i the only one?

The wings extends even more after 130km/h to create more downforce

Yep. but it appears only extends when in sport plus mode. Correct?

Or will it extent in any mode over 130?

Sport plus will extend earlier (100) ?

Is there a way to manually extend the wing?

For all models and mode, the wing will extend automatically. There are two positions for the spoiler when deployed. From the user's manual for previous models...

“Sport Plus” mode deactivated
The rear spoiler extends automatically:
– to position A at approx. 55 mph (90 km/h).
– to position B at approx. 130 mph (205 km/h).
The rear spoiler retracts automatically:
– from position B to position A at approx. 110 mph (180 km/h).
– from position A to the end position at approx. 40 mph (60 km/h).

“Sport Plus” mode activated
The rear spoiler extends straight to position B at approx. 55 mph (90 km/h).
The rear spoiler retracts from position B straight to the end position at approx. 40 mph (60 km/h).

If you hadn't posted this thread I never would have noticed the Position B for the spoiler. I put it in sport plus and hit the throttle, and sure enough it popped forward to position B.

Yes. Driving on public roads in normal or sport, not likely that one will exceed the speed for position B to be activated... without getting thrown in jail.

Manual activation only extends to position A. In sport plus mode, it will automatically extend directly to position B above 55mph.

Adding a stage is cooler. However, reprogramming all 3 stages to map to lower speeds, priceless...

Presenting to you my latest experiment...

On 970 GTS models, choosing sport plus lowers the car. Choosing the maximum damping on the shocks does the same thing. Only reason I noticed was when switching from maximum damping to comfort setting at at stop light. The car raised itself. So nice to get the lower level without the sport plus and all the stuff that comes with that.
