Recommended SF BayArea Body Shop
Hello All,
Walked up to my car this morning to see it Hit & Ran, bumper and headlight damage. Cops made a report and called insurance.
Anyone know of REPUTABLE Porsche approved OEM Body Shops in SF BayArea, preferably near the Penninsula.
Thanks,

Been to San Rafael once, really nice place. Took it to a tuner there before but damn its a far drive from near SFO Airport. Know of any more local?
Has Barsotti taken care of some issues they had back in 2014? Looking through Yelp.

I had my '13 GTS in there in 2014 and they were great, so I don't know what the issues were. I also got hit and runned (in my own driveway!) by a truck which caused a lot of rear bumper damage. It took them a while to get all the parts, but when they were done I couldn't tell anything had happened. And it still looks perfect.
Sorry, but I don't know of any place in the Peninsula.

My car was in my drive way parked during hit and run as well. I'm hoping it was my neighbors kid who is a new driver, roughly 2-3 months. He already hit the post on the car ports right in front on my. So I'm thinking its him as the parts the police collected were from a Toyota, which they own. If that's the case AAA said I don't pay deductible.
Ever heard of International Motor Sports in SF?

I never found the truck so I had to pay the AAA deductible. Not too bad though for a $8K repair.
I've heard of them but I don't know anything about them. I must say I was impressed with the high-end cars I saw being repaired at Barsotti. Don't know what International specializes in.
Wherever you go, make sure they get the bumper back on correctly. It should be very slightly higher than the hood.

Ok Update,
After getting police invovled while seeing them fix their bumper, I notified police whom arrived promptly and started questioning the driver (neighbor) who has said they thought they hit the cement planters which were located in between our cars during night time.
Neighbor finally admitted to hitting the car and insurance has started, car is at bodyshop. Currently around 5K in damages. Unfortunately Porsche doesn't sell just the Sport Design bumper by themselves you would have to buy the whole kit which comes to a whopping 3K for Front/Rear bumpers and side skirts. ( not doing that ), I tried to see about a GTS bumper but now one sells kits (other accessories for full bumper install) just the bumper.
So I guess I'll go with new bumper and put a lip kit on it after before I get the car wrapped.

Save the paperwork on the police report and repairs. There were a few cars I was interested in buying used but the Carfax for these had a vague entry about an accident w/o airbag deployment. In each case I was told that "it was just a fender bender" and "not a real accident"... but neither had paperwork to support that so I passed them up.
Some day you'll want to sell the car. Check what Carfax records show after the police report and the work is finished and then just be sure to save any supporting paperwork to show prospective buyers that it wasn't an accident on the highway...

oh yeah was planning on doing that as well. Thank you for the reminder. I've gotten so busy at work, I haven't had a chance to drop by police station to collect the report. appreciate the reminder.

Went to a shop in SF, did pretty good. Used OEM parts. There was more damage than thought after opening things up. Broken radiator supports and other nick nacks hidding behind bumper... total cost 8K
