A/C button light question

When you guys turn on a temperature that requires heat (for example it is 50F outside and you set the inside temperature at 72F), does your A/C button light come on? I can't figure out why the A/C light should come on if you are in heat mode. It does this every time.

My P4 does not do that. I manually turn on the AC if I want that on.

Maybe if you turn it on using the auto button the AC will light up ??
I can t remember but I do not turn my system on with the AUTO button and the AC light stays off.

I always leave my AC on, when cooling or heating it pulls the moisture out of the air.

OK, I checked last night... If you have the AC button OFF and put the system ON using the FAN button the AC will stay OFF... If you put the system ON using the AUTO button it will turn the AC ON.... For example, if you put the DEFROST on it should put the AC. As stated, the AC will pull dampness out of air.

Well that explains it, I always turn on the system using the AUTO button! I appreciated everyone taking the time to look at their car and report back for me, it really helped.
