A tad more on a straight 4 also night blue - just ordered it, but I missed the "pre-European continent goes on vacation" window. Delivery mid 4Q. Two or three fewer payments to make this year....small consolation.

For a 2017 sitting on the lot, aim for 5-7%. As others have mentioned, 2018 model year cars are on the way and dealers want to move as many 2017s as possible to get more 2018 allocations. In my experience, you will have a bit more leverage on the P4s vs. the P4S or PTurbos. There is also more room to move on highly optioned builds vs. more "base" or standard builds.

My Porsche salesguy called me yesterday to tell me that the 18's are scheduled to land here in August or September.

He offered me the '17 PTT he had in stock with 178k MSRP for 21K off. I would start being more aggressive on the 2017 still on lot with the 18's headed our way or be patient and i think it will pay off.

I tell ya, it's impossible to rely on anything these salespeople tell you. I was at a C&C last Sunday at a Porsche dealership and the salesman there told me 2018's wouldn't be available until next year. I questioned him about that and asked wouldn't they be coming in Sept. or Oct. He said there was a 10 month backlog in building the 2017 models.

When I got home I searched for 2018 Panamera and the only model that came up was the Sport Turismo. The sites I read said it would be available in the US in the fall. I would presume if that model was available in the fall, so would the regular models.

I LIKE IT - about 11.8% discount. Things could get mighty interesting this fall!

I make no bones about fact I may like to step back into a PTT - either a 2015-2016 Turbo S or a 2017 PTT.

Wow, that is a great deal on a PTT. I know of good negotiators that have been able to get ~8% off MSRP for '17s on the lot, but they have buying history with the particular dealership. Anything >10% for a new '17 is definitely "victory" mode. Wait until the end of the month, get them to throw in a few more things and jump on it!

My family and I have been purchasing from this dealership for years but any good negotiator should be able to come to this number or better soon.

Thought I’d kick this thread up again. Looking for a PTT, got 2 dealers offering 10-11% off 2017’s without much negotiating. I think they need to move to make room for 2018 inventory. Should prob be able to get more off since I didn’t really push but not sure. What you all seeing out there?

Got a tad under 12% when I picked up the PTT a month ago.

I am sure the deals are more aggressive now especially on high option PTT's.

10-12 sounds like a very good area maybe 13 once it gets closer to December. I was able to get 8% on my 2018 panamera turbo build which I will take delivery of in December, likely could have talked them up to 10% but I was honestly satisfied with finding a dealer who would give a discount at the time I started the order, seeing as I had one dealer literally say that no dealers would offer an incentive above 5% because of how they are selling smh.

Try dealers out of states in places where the income median isn't so high and you will find the best deals

I'm the worst when it come to instant gratification myself, but you could wait 18 months or so and buy a CPO-ed one for 40% the original price and a better warranty. LOL

This is a great post. I'll tell you why: making dealers compete with each other is the way to get it done. I think some dealers will try and whitewash you into thinking that you'll only get 5%, etc.
FWIW since the 2018's are fully out now, a 2017 should be had for at least $20k off in general. BUT - keep in mind many of the 2017's left over now are launch vehicles without Sport Chrono, if that matters to you.

I’m fighting for 10% off currently and haven’t gotten a response yet.

Which S. Cal dealership are you working with??

Walters, DLTLA and Rancho Mirage will give you 10% without much sweat off your back.
