Is this sensor somehow attached to bumper ? Or in other words when removing bumper sensor stays in place ? Doesn't need to be touched ?

It is mounted on an aluminum bracket which is held on to the lower side of the aluminum bumper bar by two M6 torx screws. The two holes on the aluminum bumper was not pre-threaded, so you have to use a tapping tool.

That's good for you! I do have set as well, and I do have ACC installed from factory, just was wondering why one workshop has calculated for insurance company calibration of ACC after bumper replacement, as I got small damage on bumper which officially nobody wants to repair so I'm waiting for a new one right now.
P.S> at Porsche dealer/workshop was no ACC calibration required when front bumper was taken off for air filter replacement .....

ACC radar is mounted on the aluminum bumper. Calibration is needed only if aluminum bumper was removed and remounted. If you are replacing only the bumper cover, and never had to remove the aluminum bumper, no calibration is needed unless aluminum bumper was somehow displaced ever so slightly. If memory serves me right, acceptable tolerance was only 1 degree per the manual.

Can you give me please a few details about the wiring? I want to retrofit acc on my 2013 CS , so i bought the radar sensor, the bracket, the front grille and i have some fusebox pins left in my garage from other retrofits i made to my other car, an audi a8. How many wires are needed? Two for can bus data and two for 12V? Did you made any other electrical connections or that's all? Is that any harness i can buy from dealer? Thank you so much!

You will need to replace the front harness you can get from dealer. Then from the plug under the right headlight, you need to run 3 wires (ground is already there so no need for it). One to the fuse box for power, and the other two must be a twisted pair for data to CRASH CAN bus. There are 5 CAN buses in the Panamera so make sure you look up the right one to tap into and do not mix up the + and - or it will be unstable while you drive it. Oh, what is a CS?

Hi, I'm in Columbus GA and would love to do this retrofit on my wife's '17 Macan Turbo. If you're up for giving some guidance, let me know and I'll PM you. Great project. Thanks,

Hawkeye

2017 will need PIWIS 3, which I don't have. You are not ready until you get a hold of a PIWIS 3.

Hi and a lot thanks for photos and details.
Just bought my 2014 Macan S and what I really diss about - it doesn't have any type of cruise control or even a speed limiter. I'm not even dreaming about an ACC module, what I'd try to retrofit is a simple cruise control with a limiter. Lucky for me, I found a 95B953568B under steering switchers - basically a whole module. Can you please give and advice, whether I'm considering wright - I don't need a radar or anything else to install a NON adaptive cruise control. All I need to do is take off a steering wheel, plug in my 95B953568B instead of a two-switchers module (one without a CC) and than activate functions (CC+Limiter) in PIWIS II?
Best regards and thanks for any help.
P.S. Sorry for any mistakes

Recoding

I was hoping you could help me, I’m in the uk, my panamera was fitted with ACC from factory, but got damaged, I replaced it with a used unit and added my vin number via Launch Diagnostics, but unfortunately will not work.
what is the procedure to recode a used unit, do I need special equipment?
Any help would be really appreciated

Reviving this old thread! I have PPN access, an authentic PIWIS 3 (directly from Porsche, not a clone) now and I am ready for 971 or any older or newer models, including Taycan. And I am ready to meet all of you. Please vote for your city and I will plan to meet you there. Voting starts immediately by submitting your info at 9xxresearch.com
