2017 PAN4 vs 2018 Tesla 100D?
We currently own 2 Porsches 2014 Cayenne and 2016 PAN4. I am going to give my 2014 Cayenne to my daughter this summer when she goes to Medical school. We are looking for a replacement, we went to Palo Alto to look at Tesla 100D and compared it with 2017 PAN4S. Tesla brought the Tesla S 100D to our home for testing, the exact model and options we like to order. Oh boy, the car is amazing and incredible driving experience. This Tesla S 100D is probably the BEST car I have ever driven. Tesla has outstanding customer service. Porsche dealers around the bay area SF is not even come close to Tesla in this customer service category. We are so blessed to be able to drive from Porsche to Tesla.
I am sold for Tesla 100D. I live in the bay area where I see Tesla S, X and 3 are outnumbered of Porsche. Have anyone of you ever compared Tesla S 100D with Panamera 4S and decided to go with PAN4S? I like hear your opinion. Would you like to share it with us?
Thank You

I've driven Tesla 90D and I own 2015 Panamera S e-hybrid.
Don't like on/off driving style in Tesla and it's certainly not in the same class with Panamera. Tesla is somewhat high middle class and Panamera is high class sports car.
I also drove 2017 Panamera which is even better car, so this is a no brainer.

I have had many sport sedans, and suv's including a Cayenne Turbo with PDCC and all modded to over 600hp. I currently have a P90D ludicrous model S for me and the same thing but model X for my wife. And as my sports car, I currently have a 650S spider tuned to 750 to 800hp. I have had many other crazy sports cars also. I say this only to give my perspective. And I will say that my Tesla is my favorite car every PERIOD!!! Still love my sports cars, and love other sport sedans, but when it comes to what I want as my DD, its always the Tesla. To have over 750tq (all the ****en time), no need for a certain rpm range or gear. Just all the time having all that power. The handling is superb, and can take the same corners at the same speed that I did in other sports sedans. The on/off effect of regenerative braking is something that takes a few days of driving it to get used to. Once you do, you usually will love it. I was a nay sayer about tesla till I test drove one. It has blown me away, and my next DD will be the new refreshed model S.

I agree. I also drove the Tesla and being in a rural area I don t want to deal with the range issues. I remember reading the Tesla and Pana review at Nueringberg (Spelling is wrong),Germany and the tesla is fast but went into limp mode soon after being pushed too hard too long. The Porsche quality felt better to me too as I m sure you can judge having owned Porsche s.
I love my P85D Tesla as well though I am not religious about it. However as my 3-year lease is ending and I don't want to sink a ton of $$$ into a new Model-S until it receives a significant refresh/update, I just bought a 2012 Panamera Turbo S to bridge the gap at a third of the the monthly cost. The Panamera is the only ICE sedan I think can compare though it is vastly better built and with much more sense of occasion when driving. I love how solid it feels. I will miss the P85D's Autopilot for a while however. Perhaps the best of both worlds solution to my next major (new) car purchase is the Mission-E. Meanwhile loving the Turbo S!
