Maserati's, like most Italian automobiles, are all hat and no cattle when compared to Germany's best. The interior design and material quality of Italian autos is sub-par to our Porche Panamera and the port holes on the Maserati are a throw back to GM's Buicks. As for engines, only custom builders like Ferrari can compete with Porsche and most of the Italian engines are built and/or designed by Fiat. The new Alfa Romeos are glorified Fiats and I was really disappointed in the interior quality and engines. Even my Audi far surpasses the Alfa Romeo and Maserati in quality and design. Not trying to bedowngrade anyone's Italian car, just giving my own personal opinion.
