I park my 991.1 during winter for two reasons. Corrosion damage to the fasteners from salt. I service it myself and it’s much easier when the bolts aren’t rusted. Also, the 911 has to be driven for about 10 miles before the oil is warmed up which is slightly less than my commute which makes it hardly worthwhile to drive it.

The panny warms up quickly so I use it to DD unless the conditions are salty, then I use the urban assault vehicle which has corrosion resistant bolts that have not rusted in 15 years of winter driving.

newporsche is infamous around these parts
i drive quite a bit of miles to work 5 days a week so i thought it would be nice to drive the other vehicle and not drive the Panamera so many miles otherwise the miles would rack up so fast. add to that we are getting near the winter season where its so cold in the morning.

they don't salt the roads here, but they also barely clear them, after the first couple of good snows the roads are covered in a thick layer of ice.
Really don't want to expose the car to drivers who have a hard time when the road is clear and dry!
