Base Stereo Upgrade

I just brought home a 2015 S E-Hybrid with the base stereo. Wishing it had a little more on the low end and was wondering if anyone has tried to add a factory bose or burnmeister sub (maybe swap out all the speakers). They’re all over eBay and reasonable. I’m not sure where it would fit with the hybrid batteries taking up where it looks like the sub goes on the nonhybrid models. Does the hybrid have its own special subwoofer?

If anyone had any pics of where the sub is located hybrid or not that might help.

Hi
i don’t think it is easy to upgrade to bose or Birstmaster. I had 2013 model and iit wasn’t possible . Base model unit head is Analog and the other ones are fiber optics. But I found a good after Mosley and I am very happy. I got Helix V8 DSP installed. It is 8-10 channel DSP Amp. Made in Germany is not cheap but it worth it. I also add a separate amp 1000 w power and it hooked up to 400 w Audison 10 inch sub that installe in side corner of the trunk. The base model doesn’t have the back surround speakers. I bought house two from Porsche dealers and added to be completed set of speakers. I didn’t change any other speakers they sound ok actually and they are made in Italy. But you can change to bose speakers if you want. Bose speakers are made in China though.
Mine sound amassing and that 400 watt sub is a killer.
i hope that helps.

Reus Audio Systems are great; I first used them in my 2006 M5 and recently had them move the system to my 2011 PTT. They can upgrade all Porsche provided stereos to audiophile status. Located in Orange CA they travel throughout the nation to install/upgrade high end rides.
