Good deal, seems like a flawless install, I would like to know also who installs these? I assume the dealers do it for a pretty penny.

Btw the new style steering wheel would be nice too....

This box made by http://www.unichip-tec.com/ ,now have CarPlay and Android auto both supported version. Can works with all PCM3.1 equipped porsche.
If you can remove air vents and take out PCM head unit, can do it by self. Plug&play.

Lyuans, where did you install the unichip external box, does it fit behind the PCM? Or next to the air vents?

I installed the box close the amplifier (under the front side of ground front passenger),fixed the micphone of siri to top of steering column.Added cooling silicone pad inside and outside of box, this space is hot.And suggest use TAPE covered the DIP switch window, prevent accidental changed DIP setting(i have met)

This is an external box. Do you still need to remove the head unit to have access to back of it. How does it hook up with PCM?
I saw some CarPlay boards that instal directly on the back the head unit.
Thanks

I really like apple car play in my wife 2018 pan4s. FYI, the apple car play has to be activated during startup. I was driving I5 to LA, for some reasons apple car play was disconnected - apple car play display on the screen, I could not able to reconnect while driving. Until I stop at pit-stop I can reconnect apple car play. I ask my SA @ Porsche dealer today they told me for safety reason Porsche will not reactivate apple car play if disconnect and connect while i am driving. That's suck !!!

Dumb question, but how do I find out if I have PCM3.1? I would love Android Auto, and this box can do that?

I cant remember which setting it is, but it's somewhere in the menu options... I think "Info" then one of the menu items within that? Should say which version you're running.
