I went with blue (Versalume) since I have more blue LED strips from Oznium that may find their way to light up either under the dash or the door cubbies.
I plan to make the versalume blue dim so that it is enough to appreciate it but it is not blinding in any way.. I also play music using the USB so I was thinking on putting a USB splitter in the compartment under the arm rest (see pic). I will report back if it all works...

something like this...

I started the foot wells and got the passenger side done.
Took the driver side foot well panel apart and can’t figure out how to put back the four screw fasteners so I’ll have to try it tomorrow with some sunlight.
In the meantime here’s the passenger side. Dims on and dims out with the interior lights. It is not on while driving.

Looking in with the door open

This is with the door closed

Thanks, it is shaping up, the Oznium LED strips light up nicely. I found that the car already has great courtesy lamp placement so I’m tapping right Into those lights.

I know the feeling of adding things to buy and install from visiting this forum! Time to shop!!

My son is 12 years old and has really enjoyed helping with this project, he is really getting into working on the car with me. So that makes these little projects a BIG plus for me!

I had forgotten all about EL Wire until you started this thread, I might have to play around with it as it really has endless possibilities

Hey Doug, EL wire is interesting, this will be my first experience with it but I’m looking forward to it. If it works out well on the center console I may order a second one to do the rear console too.
Post pics if you decide to add some EL wire to your interior!

Alright, the Versalume kit has arrived and I had a chance to test it. Here it is out of the box, this is one tiny strand looks like fishing line but lights up pretty bright. I’ll try installing it this weekend and post more pics...

Nice packaging

Here it is set about 30 to 40% brightness

Here is the app that drives the modes you can set

Just a recap, been really happy with the blue LED strips for the footwells and the trunk area. The Versalume ended up not being flexible enough and a little too delicate to handle. I went with Ellumiglow and got the center Console done with no problems, and it only took a few minutes to install. I connected it via USB in the center arm rest. All in all it gives the interior a bit of a fresher look. I have the footwell lights come on only when the door are open. The center console is on anytime the engine is on. Here’s a few pics, cheers!

This is what I used

Thanks!! This is a single strand. I’m thinking I’ll add one to the middle console in the back between the seats.
