Thumbs up Need Help wiring LED Strip

I’ve bought a few LED strips and I am looking to do the interior starting with the trunk. My car came with the LED interior package so my assumption was to tap the wires of the existing lights. Will that work?
Here are some pictures of the side light taken apart in the trunk. There are two wires leading to the connector, one is red and black and the other yellow. The LED strip I bought has a black and a red wire...
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
If to do this right I should run separate wires and go to the fuse box I’m open to the idea and would like to know which fuses are best to use.

Black connector on stock LED light, next to new LED strip wire I need to connect

Here is where I think I could tap into the wire going to the stock LED lights

the beauty of LEDs is that they are low current, I suspect you should be fine just tapping into the existing wires

I went to buy the right size wire taps needed to try it, so I’ll do it tomorrow.

Thanks for the comments! I tapped into the trunk existing LED lights and everything worked out!
I used double sided tape to hold the Oznium LED strips, it came with small brackets and screws but I figured the tape would hold it for now. Here are some pics, DIY type thing for sure, it’s not hard to do.

Wire tap on LED strip

Once it started working

Already installed with double sided tape, I left the OEM white led on...doesn’t wash out the blue at all

Here is how the cargo area looks, now you don’t see the LED strip at all when you are standing

Nice! Can always use some more illumination in the trunk.
The LED strips look better and light up more of the trunk than the individual LEDs I used in my Audi.
Glad to see that it was an easy job.

Thanks guys for the comments, it was easy to do and it did make a big difference!
I thought the same thing that I could use more light in the trunk, I did leave the white OEM lights on.
I did buy some more LED strips and might try to install them on the door cubbies or under the dash.
I am in Weston, FL

Naples for me. I was thinking of trying some really dim center console accent lights to replicate these OEM lights (#1): https://www.suncoastparts.com/product/SKU970LED.html

check out the oznium website to see if they have something that will work for you.
Plus if it doesn't work out, you can remove them and maybe try something else.

I go to Naples a lot during the summer. It’s about an hour away for me, nice beach and great places to eat!
Those OEM center console lights got my attention, Oznium does offer flexible strips and a dimmer too. They have white and other colors so it’s just a matter of wiring it....probably to the cigarette lighter.

I have also been looking at these...they attach via USB which we have in the center console and the website allows you to set the color and brightness...

Post pics of what you guys end up doing! I will make sure to add more pics if I figure out where else to add the blue Oznium LED strips

I went ahead and ordered the USB one color (blue) set....I am thinking of plugging it in under the arm rest and running it up and down the control panel in between the seats.
I chose this space since it seems to need about 36 inches to do, and the kit is about 39 inches long. I will take pics when I get it done.

Here is the placing I have in mind

What color did you go with? should look good...

I use my USB port for music, so that rules out that one. But they do have some other stuff that might be doable
