Vigilante is infamous around these parts
Panamera 970 carbon fiber Aliexpress spoiler

Hi guys,

thinking of getting this spoiler for my Panamera S e-hybrid to give it a more aggressive look. What do you guys think and does anyone have any experience in installing this. Is it very difficult.

Also is the turbo/gts spoiler any cheaper to get right now. Last I checked seemed like US$3000 plus.

BUMP as I’m super interested as well and actually more interested in how to safely remove the existing spoiler on my 970...

Well I bought the spoiler and it's going to be installed tomorrow. Hope all goes well. Will share my experience of the install.

Awesome please do share. Do you have any info on how to remove the existing spoiler?

How was the weave/pattern quality? I bought one of the cheaper/cheapest choices for a ‘13 Smart Fortwo and found the pattern not quite perfect. It was a little heavier than expected from past experience with the material. Mounting instructions (non-existent) and supplied screws were not going to cut it. I ended up purchasing an original Brabus front spoiler from a dealer and the Ali version is still in the box...

Sorry to hear that. I was looking at it too for a long time before I decided to go with the factory Turbo one simply because I had a lot of doubts on how much extra weight this adds to the car. Adding so much extra weight so far behind the CG will create up force on the front wheels, decreasing steering response. If this was in the original design of the car, it could have been compensated by changing the suspension specs. May be I am just worrying too much.

and for $3000, I would rather get the retractable turbo spoiler installed by 9xxresearch.com

At maximum speed the front end does get pretty light so I sure wouldn't do that with this spoiler!

FWIW, there's a 970 running around east Atlanta with one of these. I thought it looked cool in the pix above, but in person it screams 'cheese'. It reminded me of a stick-on fender vent.

Well, everyone has different taste. At the end of the day, as long as the owner likes it, who am I to judge? Some people said my retrofit turbo spoiler looks bad too. But every time I pass 59, I would look in the rear mirror to see the spoiler rise and open up to the sides, and that puts a smile on my face, and I think that's all that matters.

Please take note of the thread you are replying to. This is about the add-on spoiler, not a retrofitted turbo spoiler and the OP specifically asked "What do you guys think?". Thus, the opinions being offered.

Wow, thanks for pointing that out. I didn't look closely at the picture before. It did look like the retrofitted, but whew! LOL. You offered a fair opinion!
