I saw that one, the guy already had it out. Just trying to get info before I start, as there are many small tubes that if you are not careful, you may crack, and then a relatively simple job can exponentially become more difficult.

The boost T connector will definitely break or will need to be replaced when taking off the manifold as well as new gaskets and bolts.... The only tube that may crack is that one main one that goes across both valve covers to connect to the Air oil seperator. Other than that its a super straight forward process after that. The starter is held in by two easily accessible Reverse torx E10 bolts once the manifold has been removed. Heres the best pricing and shipping time for the manifold gasket and bolts... https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/por...-elring-484980

Good luck on tbis. The trial and error process with these cars is very extensive, glad all of our issues seem to be handled eventually (some quicker than others) but overall saving people thousands of dollars is a great thing. Hope this is relatively easy one for you. What year and mileage are you again, also what new battery to you end up going with..

I got a new battery but car would not start with it, so I returned it.
The only option left now is the starter, so I will look tonite to see how extensive the intake removal will be. Hope easy.

if I choose to do, I will get
- intake gaskets (bolts are affixed to intake, non removable)
- starter (thinking of OEM one from eBay found one new for under 200)
- If timely, will get throttlebody seal we will see

Anyone can see this still may not be starter? Thats where I am at now, My info says starter. Appreciate input.

After checking relay, fuses, battery replacement, that would have to be the most logically issue based on process of elimination, only concern is odd things can trigger unrelated items.

While your in there you might as well change the coolant thermostat housing with the updated (bolted) version

It will also give you a chance to see how bad the carbon buildup is

You might search for the coolant housing issue, here is one on a V6 but I suspect most of the procedure is the same ( it's in the V and everything needs to come off)

Hmmm, I was thinking maybe the keyless Entry and Drive with a dead battery on the FOB...but I think you should at least see a message on the dash not detecting the FOB

You are right, there would be a message on cluster that cannot detect key, and I swapped that battery as well, while trying to eliminate any possibilities.
Thanks.

Have you confirmed the fuel pump hasn't failed?
