It's stupid for it to deploy at 60 mph in the city. Is it possible to manually disable it?

 

if you figure out a way please let me know. As far as I know there’s no way to deactivate without getting a “spoiler failure” on the display that doesn’t go away over 59mph

 

I hate it because it makes me look at an a-hole. It's as if I'm showing off.

 

Maybe it's just me, but I find it difficult getting to 60mph in the city.

 

There's a button on the center console of the GTS, but it doesn't exist on the PTT?

 

Oh it does but it raises the spoiler and locks it in the up postion until the button is pushed again. I like the spolier going up/down automatically.

I was just looking for the manual to look up how the button works, but my wife found my desk messy and rearranged it for me. It is now nowhere to be seen. (Sigh, although my desk sure is presentable now).

If I recall correctly the manual notes that you get the best fuel economy in automatic mode, so I like to leave it rising and lowering on it’s own.

Try to retract the spoilers at 60mph. I couldn't do it using that button.

 

Aye, the only two options seem to be automatic mode and fixed in the raised position.

 

It's a Porsche. Almost all models naturally say "look at me". Going unnoticed would require a silver Toyota Camry or similar.

 

I don't care what you say the turbo one is cool

Put it in Sport Plus and tromp on it, you see the spoiler go to an even higher angle.

Mine stays up all winter to prevent any damage due to ice and snow on it...

 

Well, I've seen guys in their Porsches at a complete stop with the spoilers fully deployed.

 

Ya I'm thinking the only way to avoid auto up is to... Lock it in the up position.

Me personally, I'm a fan of the auto feature, so if that means "look at me," so be it.
