2. Open coolant cap. Raise bleeder valve clip to service position
Drain from radiator drain plug.
If you are going to drain again as in flush:
Disconnect coolant hoses (both) from oil/water heat exchanger and collect
Disconnect small hose beside generator and collect
Disconnect hose for coolant reservoir in left wheel housing and collect
Disconnect hose for run-on pump in left wheel housing and collect.
Fit hoses and radiator drain plug.
Hey guys! thanks for this thread! Someone mentioned earlier on the thread that it was difficult to find some infos on and about the Pan coolant purging, flushing and refilling....you're absolutely right! Couldn't find anything! Nothing on the manual and nothing with the EXACT needed infos comes up when you google this!
Dont ask me for the details on how this happened please.....but someone poured GREEN COOLANT into the reservoir of my 2010 Pan S 970 out of panic the other day... So, I would urgently need to flush the whole system and get new uncontaminated PINK COOLANT back into the Pan S.
Just a few questions becasue I don't have the repair manual in the procedurre posted by @jzchen the links are I think obsolete and inactive already. Thank you so much by the way for the infos jzchen. Step 1 is clear 28 liters (really??) and vacuum filling apparatus - CHECK! Step 2 is pretty straightforward as well up to the part where you dsconnect both coolant hoses from oil/water heat exchanger since there was a picture provided of their locations.
However, the succeedings ones are a challenge to find ....
1. small hose beside generator (where is this generator?)
2. hose for coolant reservoir in left wheel housing (do I take out the fender liner on the driver's side to access this?)
3. hose on run-on pump (where is the run-on pump located?)
Can you provide some screenshots please or instructions or maybe post screenshots of the rest of the repair manual that says where those remaining hoses are please 🙏
Lastly, when I put fresh PINK COOLANT back into the Pan S, (and this may sound stup), Do I fill up from the reservoir tank? Reason I ask is because, the vacuum filling aparatus has a cone shaped rubber funnel type which when you insert this into the reservoir tank...it will obviously hit and may damage the coolant level indicator right...? the one with the + and - sign. Am I making any sense? Thanks in advance guys! cheers!

I did not get "28 Liters" from the service literature. I did purchase the filling reservoir from Porsche service tools place, and it is a whopping 30 L container. Instructions said to fill it 2 L less than capacity, therefore 28 L...
Regarding the adapter you got, it seems to be a universal type vs Audi/Volkswagen/Porsche specific. The one I have is literally like the original cap except on top there is a nipple to connect your apparatus.
I have yet to do a coolant flush so I can not personally confirm how much coolant is required/needed nor the capacity. Bleeding is accurate and soon after Porsche seemed to get revenge and stopped offering short term Tech Info subscriptions....
As for the component locations, there were no images, just description of locations, so I'm afraid I'm not sure except that is word for word verbatim....
Thanks @jzchen ! I might just take out the recovery tank first since I think that the green coolant has not fully mixed yet with the whole cooling system. may i confirm that the recovery tank can be fully accessed behind the front driver's side fender liner?

I was able to remove and replace that recovery tank. I replaced it because coolant was leaking out the cap gasket, and I could not find another solution to it, ie replacement caps, or different sized gaskets that I tried to source. I do not have any decorative covers under the hood, including the ones covering the strut areas. I remember removing them a long long time ago. Once removed, I never put them back. I can replace spark plugs/ignition coils without messing with the upper engine mount, which btw have one time use bolts. No hard part removal, ie bumper/fender has to be removed, but since I have those covers removed I'm not so sure about the left front cover above the strut. I do not have, nor can I subscribe to Tech Info any longer, and had to do the replacement without official instructions, but I am confident you'll be able to replace it without much trouble as long as you pull down/remove the fender liner.
