The days of getting big gains in output by removing the cats were back in the 70's-90's when converters were akin to shoving a cork up the tailpipe. Today's cats are wildly more efficient and have an exponentially smaller impact on power. These are just a smattering of thousands of dyno tests that show that modern cats have a negligible impact on power.
