install is pretty basic, one in one out and a vac line, I used the AP forged valves decent quality, I would just get a good set of forged ones AP, FVD, forged as some good companies. Access from under the front bumper on either sides.

Thanks for the pointers. Ordered the FVD valves and will be installing along with new plugs.

Valves have been installed, and noise got a little better but not where we should be. 60-130 was in the high 10s before, now we are in the lower 10s, so there’s still something off. The forged valves compared to OEM are night and day lol.

Going to pull off the bumper this weekend and go through the charge lines to see if there’s a crack anywhere, along with replace the spark plugs.

low 10’s sounds pretty good if you are on a stock tune. Do you have any other mods? Tune? DP?

FVD tune and BMC filter (not like it matters). With the run I was hoping to be in the mid 9s without DPs.

Yea maybe somthing is off, I would hope 9’s with those mods. I think DA and heat soak matter a lot. When your iat are to high the ecu pulls power

for sure, heat soak on these cars is brutal. The few 1/4 mile times I’ve done show a 115/117 trap speed which also makes me think something is way off. I’ll report back if I find whats wrong

So went through all the lines and it does not appear that there is a leak. I am thinking it may be my throttle body as everytime I reset, i get a marginally faster time. I replaced the OEM throttle body with an "aftermarket" bosch TB. Anyone have experience with this TB?https://www.autohausaz.com/pn/BS-94860511504

After I put on the tune, i installed this and it immediately started cutting boost. Then, after a couple of resets and other things it now doesn't hold back boost, but I am not getting a consistent 1 bar through all gears.

To keep annoying you all 😂😂😂
After a little more testing, I find that when I get on it (but not WOT) having the car build boost through the gear, the car will hold at 1 bar consistently through the gear.
when WOT the boost fluctuates heavily, but stays between .8.
my dragy 1/4 mile times are consistent at 117, so I still think something is up. I may reflash the car and see if that makes a difference.... it may be software related
going to take it to my mechanic as well to see if he can find a leak, very bizarre.

dor some reason Panameras do this, I have researched it a lot and find that the waste gate will regulate boost as your power and raises. For example if I am on a pull and in 3rd I will hold about 15/16 psi untill 5k rpm then slowing start dropping boost as I climb in rpm. Plus you just consider the over boost function (boost pressure in yellow) that give 10-15 seconds of added boost while in sport plus.

I find this very annoying that it will not hold pressure like the 971’s or macans they all hold 1.1-1.3 bars the entire time!

good to know, I would think a tune would rectify this. Thanks!!

I installed mine over a year ago, there are a lot of dyi out there. The macan and cayenne all have the diverter valves in the same position and it is the exact same process! There should be YouTube videos as well.

Update----
A few weeks ago, i took the car to my mechanic to confirm that there were no leaks... and he did. After this, I was still running low/mid 10 sec 60-130 (AT MOST) and a 117 in the trap. I did feel a little bad that I was convincing myself something was wrong, while beating on the car while it was running exceptionally smooth and no error lights etc. I accepted that with the car's age is starting to slow down and left it alone .
Fast forward last week, I was talking to a friend with a FBO M4 who recently got a fresh tune and he said that he had major problems putting down power because his car was pulling timing from Costco 93 octane. DING.... LIGHTBULB ON. I always put Costco (93) gas in my car since its 1) cheaper and 2) convenient. NO. MORE.
The car was pulling serious timing. Ran the Crapco gas out, filled a half tank of Shell V-Power and now running a consistent 9.5ish 60-130 and 120/121 trap in the 1/4. VERY HAPPY!!!

AVOID COSTCO GASOLINE!!!!!!!!
