I did feel a little bad that I was convincing myself something was wrong, while beating on the car while it was running exceptionally smooth and no error lights etc. I accepted that with the car's age is starting to slow down and left it alone .
Fast forward last week, I was talking to a friend with a FBO M4 who recently got a fresh tune and he said that he had major problems putting down power because his car was pulling timing from Costco 93 octane. DING.... LIGHTBULB ON. I always put Costco (93) gas in my car since its 1) cheaper and 2) convenient. NO. MORE.
The car was pulling serious timing. Ran the Crapco gas out, filled a half tank of Shell V-Power and now running a consistent 9.5ish 60-130 and 120/121 trap in the 1/4. VERY HAPPY!!!

AVOID COSTCO GASOLINE!!!!!!!!
nice, I only use shell 93 now, I have used their ethanol free 93 as well but I think the regular 93 performs better. I really want to try some 99 or 100 but can’t find it.

Interesting, maybe contamination or a bad Costco gas station tank? They're suppose to be top tier... https://toptiergas.com/licensed-brands/

It may be their winter blend as well. All I know is the difference is immediate,
