Cool Debating Panamera 4 or BMW 840I grand cope

New here and I like many discussions. I just sold my BMW 640I grand coupe and I'm in process to buy a new car. I am debating between the new 840i GC or the Panamera. I drove both of them, Im new to Porsche and I never had one before, all my cars were BMW either the 3, 5, and the 6 series. Money wise both cars are falling within the range, I'm willing to spend. Thoughts?

4 years ago I went from a 2014 650 GC to 2015 Panamera 4s and I recently went from a 2018 Audi RS5 to a 2018 Panamera 4s. The major difference I found between both the 650 and the RS5 is that the Porsche drives better, it really is as simple as that. The RS5 has the same engine, seemed a bit quicker but not in a good way it was more frantic and it does not sound as good, the suspension set up never seemed to fit and the build quality is not as good, the 650 GC seemed much heavier even know it less than 200lbs more and it never felt as unique. In the end I moved to the Panamera twice for the same reason, which is it simply drives better, Porsche to me provides an experience I have not been able to replicate from other brands.

Thank you Malper!! I pulled the tigger and got a black 2018 Panamera --- This is my first Porsche and I think I will need to spend time to learn it to enjoy it. Any tips to set up the driving mode is much appreciated!

Congrats. I reccomend you get a Sprint Booster, it really wakes up throttle response, I have put one on every car I have had for the past 6 years, best $299.00 you can spend. As far as specific set up it really depends on how and where you drive, I am in Sport or sport plus most the time as exhaust note is bettor and the car drives "smaller" as the suspension tightens up. Highly reccomend spending time reading the owners manual and or on you tube, I am still finding out new stuff every week.
