Just saw these spy shots of the new Panamera. The new layout looks amazing!

Does not look like a great alternative.

Car journalists love to complain about too many buttons, I find it much simpler than the joystick menu controls from BMW, Audi or Mercedes...

Wished Panny's came as 6spd manual.... not liking that center layout and it looks BMWish to me for some reason. Maybe its the gear selector and that ****.

Reminds me of those controls the movie theaters have on the recliners. I do not like it one bit.

Too generic looking. I just picked up a '15 PGTS and the interior layout is one of the many highlights. I LOVE all the buttons. Porsche interiors are so unique and badass looking it's unfortunate they are moving towards the "washing machine" style console like all the other makes. I guess it might grow on me but as of right now I hate it.

Agree. I like my tactile buttons. Washing machine description is exactly right.

Agree with all of you - I DISLIKE that console and the lack of buttons. PCNA: stay with the current console!

May be a good thing to reduce depreciation of the current cars.

Looks to have the same backwards action as BMW - push forward to go in reverse. I have to give friends a tutorial when they borrow my 750 - so stupid and counter intuitive.

I never appreciated buttons more then after driving an Escalade for 3 days as a loaner. Everything is touch and swipe. After 3 days I realized how much I miss buttons. I hated everything about the touch controls on the Cadillacs. From slow or non responsiveness of touch controls, to swipe everything to find anything to tune. Just terrible. I would take a Suburban or Denali over anything caddy made with these stupid touch panels. Wet hands, dirty hands, dirty panel - makes is all non responsive.
I LOOOOVVEEE Buttons and I appreciate them now more than ever!
But these new controls on these pictures above - it will be headache! Hrrrrrrrrrrrrrr At least the climate temperature gauge has a button/lever.
