I cleaned up a spy shot... not the best job but I got most of the cr4p out of the way so we could at least see the lines.

That would be great if that is it - it would save me a small fortune because I would keep what I have - great looking, but just like the 996TT (IMHO)

What's with the body colored B-pillar? The 996 and 997 don't have visible B-pillars.

Exactly my sentiments. Not really a whole lot different than the 996. Of course we dont really know yet, but I think Porsche is going to need at least the same change as the 430 was to the 360. Either way, i'm not really interested in the 997 TT or Porsche for that matter, anymore. After the Boxter, Cayenne, Cayman and now the Panamera, it just lost its luster for me.

Chris, I agree. The 993 was the end of an era. Their value reflects the limited production in comparision to the 996. I wouldn't be surprised if the 997 was the end of the 911. They've turned Porsche into GM - crank out cars in huge quantities and make as much money as possible (which I can understand), but they dilute the marque. I watched an interesting "Rides" last night on Lambo - excellent description on how high end cars survive. Porsche has decided to move down stream and sell to the masses.

I bought the car because it is a monster. I'll keep this car until it falls apart (unless I can get a great deal on a TT X50 cab) and then look and see if they're still building monster cars.

Crazy. The ironic side to this is it make older vehicles much more attractive for me. I plan on day getting an E30 M3, a car with an incredible history and built with an enthusiast in mind. Unfortunately, companies try and extend to the niche enthusiasts market by introducing extended series vehicles like the GT3 and GT2. The cars are fantastic but other than the numbers behind the vehicle they provide little distinction for that person looking to be bold. Ferrari is a company who nobody here can not help but respect for sticking to their guns. I am not sure the fate of Porsche to the true enthusiast. I am certain it will lose value by putting too much effort into being too broad. It's very sad. I really want to get a 993 turbo or c2s one day. Driven many cars and it is without a doubt a car with incredible soul. After they went water-cooled things went down, IMO.
