Angry 2011 Panamera Transmission Distance Sensor

So I'm driving I get a transmission fault on the dash, stop turn the car off and the car drives fine. Next morning start the car no issue drive 1.5 miles to get gas and I get the same fault but this time the car thinks it is in neutral. Go to porsche and they say it is the distance sensor in the valve body chassis and will need a control unit. Has anyone experienced this issue?

Look up my DIY thread for transmission fault, pdk shift rod sensors replacement.
Read entire thread. If you have duags, scan when you get this fault. If you see shift rod sensor errors, you are in luck, for I laid out before you, entire process to fix, and save thousands of dollars, literally.

The problem came down to the valve body chassis, where the sensor is located. Got the part changed and I am back on the road, and yes it was costly.
