Had a small exhaust leak on my Turbo that was annoying on the highway. Got it fixed, but now the car sounds pretty weak on startup. Trying to figure out if this is normal or not.

i don’t have PSE, but on a cold start the engine would definitely roar to life before this exhaust repair. Nothing obnoxious like a Hellcat or anything like that, but just loud enough to make you smile.

For anyone else with a non-sport-exhaust 970 V8... was what I was experiencing before normal and it’s now been muzzled somehow? Or was the only reason it would roar like that in the first place because of the exhaust leak? I realize these cars are fairly quiet either Sport exhaust, but wondering specifically about startup.

Don't have a turbo and don't have the sport exhaust. That said, mine does kinda braaap on initial start, but it's nothing outlandish.

 

I can do a video of mine but I have the AWE exhaust, so not sure if that would help.

 

yeah, I’d imagine that sounds very different on startup than stock. Thanks anyway though

 

The non-PSE, no change exhaust system on the Panamera is Very quite at startup, then super quiet when warm. Mine without cats and with PSE sounds like a muscle car at startup until the valves close.
