I’ve always been bothered by the beep beep sound as the rear lid goes up or down. I read on the Macan and Cayenne forums that this audible alert can be deactivated. Most people posted about having this done at a dealership. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find any posts for the Panamera but I assumed it was also possible.
I did this with a PIWIS II and my DIY power source providing clean power (look this up if interested) so that I wasn’t pressed for time.
1. Start at the Rear Lid module > Coding/Adaptations > Customer Specific Settings.
2. You will see “Acoustic warning signal”. Next to this you will see “Value” with a number listed (mine was set at 500).
3. Change the “Value” to 0 (i.e. zero) and then hit Save (F4) across the bottom.
4. You will then be promoted to apply the change. After the new value (zero) is applied you will see a little pencil image under the “Changed” column.
* It took me a few attempts to get the new value (zero) to stick (be applied) but then everything worked and the beep beep was gone!
From now on, beep beep is only for the Roadrunner!
