Instrument cluster

I was toying with the idea of replacing my 2011 4S instrument cluster with another cluster with white gauge faces as opposed to my standard black gauges. My question is, is the mileage stored in the cluster or somewhere else? In other words, would the displayed mileage on the replacement gauge cluster when installed on my car be reflective of my car's mileage or the mileage of the car the gauges were originally on?
