I was driving my Panemera

turbo 2010 when it suddenly started smoking with the message oil drum. The engine started to tick on one side so I immediately turned it off. After reading the car, the following error codes came out:

- P0346 cylinder row 2 camshaft position - g163 unmanly signal
- P0305 cylinder 5 cylinder misfire detected
- P0306 cylinder 6 cylinder misfire detected
- P0307 cylinder 7 cylinder misfire detected
- P0308 cylinder 8 cylinder misfire detected
Is this a known issue with a 970 Turbo? I think there is something wrong with the camshaft adjusters.

I think that the problem is on the distrib chain or variocam.
See through oil cap if chain move.

 

Have you thought about replacing the aluminum screws on the variocam, they loosen and break by cutting.
All Panamera 970.1 are affected by this problem except the GTS where the variocam is different.
