Russ (from this forum) is visiting Atlanta, so I'm planning a Porsche get together here in Atlanta to do some socializing (we need to get all of the Atlanta area Porsches together sometime anyway).

Right now the plan is to meet at Dave & Busters off I-75 around 6:00 pm on the 16th of September.

Actually, the 6 Pack has started talking about about a TOD Part II. Uh, oh!!!

 

After we visit Atlanta for the weekend (my best friend since high school lives near Stone Mtn), Teresa and I plan on probably taking the same back roads Dock took so we can go back through Telico Plains, the Cherohala Skyway and of course, the TOD on our way to the Smokies!!!

We try and run the TOD at least twice a year (this will make it three for 2004). Teresa and I still tell our friends about TOD 7/9/04 ... we have a lot of great memories. TOD II ... this year or spring 2005? Or have you decided yet?

We were only loosely talking about it. It seems things of that magnitude don't actually happen unless someone takes the bull by the horns and, well, you know....
I have sort of adopted that role in the past. We briefly talked about trailering the cars there but driving is an option as well.

In all honesty, the Cherohala Skyway was my favorite part of our whole trip. It was as if we rented a racetrack for an entire day!!!

Interesting, that's the way I felt too as did several others I talked to that day. However, Teresa loved the TOD the best since that is where her Boxster S shines! I must admit I prefer driving hers on the TOD versus mine. Really love the lighter weight and better weight distribution.

That's going to be difficult the rest of this year as our vacation / cabin rental for the Smokies is already set plus I'm having knee surgery when I get back from vacation. My driving will be limited for awhile. Keep us in mind for the future though.
