UPDATED LIST AND INFORMATION

6speeders:

We are still on for next Saturday, February 26th. Here is the general information and the updated list:

The plan is to have those that are interested meet at Crystal Cove at 7 AM on Saturday, February 26th. After an hour or so, we will start a caravan up to the LA area to pick anyone that does not make it to the meet at Lucent Motors (Arling's place). Once we've got everyone, we will distribute the directions and then start out on the run.

My goal is to meet in LA (Lucent) at around 9 AM. We then leave for the run to SB at 9:30 AM. Once we get to the SB area, we will stop for some lunch. You can bring your own or purchase some food from a local deli. We will then caravan over to a nice park for some relaxation and to take a look at the rides.

Staying over in SB is entirely optional. For those that do stay over, we can all meet up in Downtown SB for some dinner and after hours fun. Please feel free to bring the wives and significant others.

The Four Seasons looks booked. I will probably stay at the Bacara Resort and Spa (www.bacararesort.com). I'll confirm where I'm staying over the next couple of days.

If you stay over, we can meet up for brunch and then do a run back down to LA.

Looking forward to this. I just hope the weather cooperates.

T

T,

I've already booked a room at Bacara on 2/26, it seems like a very nice resort with stunning ocean views, however, they require 3-day notice for cancellation so I hope we can firm up everything before next Wed the latest.

I hear ya. The only wild card is the weather. Personally, I will probably try to book 1 or 2 days in advance in order to get a better feel for the weather.

Looking forward to meeting up with you.

Good idea, I think I'll go ahead and cancel the booking and wait till 1-2 days before, but hopefully there'll still be rooms available as the Four Seasons seems to be all booked...and I'm too lazy to drive back & forth to SB the same day.

Don't drive too fast everyone; I drive the slowest car in the group.

Hey Guys:

Just want to reiterate that staying over in SB is entirely optional. Similarly, there are many hotels there for you to choose from...I've never stayed at Bacara but it looks awesome.

I am not driving too fast. I want to enjoy the scenery. By the way I booked a room at the Country Inn and Suites in Ventura. Very reasonable rates with AAA card. I have stayed there before. Good underground parking. Good steak dinner at the Winchester Bar and Grill.
