Hey Everyone-

I was just wondering whether there are any airfields in California that have days where people can just open their cars up and test them like in Europe?

I've tried googling the matter but to no avail...

In communist California? Please...it's not fair to those without cars and it would be a field day for plaintiff attorneys.

went to an autox at an airport near santa cruz a while back...not sure about renting their runway, even though it looked quite short...we were on the hanger tarmac,

 

I haven't seen anything like that, but Willow Springs International Raceway has open track day every once in a while. I know that there is a web site that lists the days and prices, but I can't remember (senior moment ). OK I found it, it is www.opentrackracing.com

as for open tracking, that is something i DO know -- and have some experience -- about ... in fact i'm going again on May 10 with my Father to Thunderhill but if i mention that again here i'll be repeating it for like the umpteenth time lol

 

they used to do it in El toro air force base, which is now turning into a giant park
