Guys,

Don't know if anyone's interested, but I might just roll into this Friday night, 6/8/07 at 8PM. There's a bunch of guys I ran into in my local hood "MANASSAS".....no jokes please that I haven't heard already, but said they meet every Friday night at the Regal (formerly Hoyt's) Cinemas in Manassas right of Rt 66 and 234 (Sudley Road). Bunch of Audi and VW guys, but still thought it would be cool to check out and cruise over there for an hour or so to see some of the modified cars. Cool bunch of "MATURE" guys who aren't looking to do some burn-outs and street racing. Just admirers of the fine automobile. Got a bunch of friends coming anyway so I thought I would extend the invite. Hope to see everyone there.

I'll be rolling down from Rockville/Shady Grove Hospital right after work anyway so if people want to meet up around 7:00, we can do that too.

Chris - What's this Chick Filet thing you're talking about???? Tell me the details. I won't be able to make this one b/c I'll be in Rockville at 5:30 for a meeting tomorrow night, then rolling out to Manassas but if my meeting let's out early (doubtful unless it's within a 1/2 hour) I'll see you guys there, then we can roll as a crew to Regal Cinemas. Most likely I won't make it to Chic Filet this time, but DEFINITELY will make this a regular thing for me on Friday nights. That's awesome. What time does that one usually start?

I just got my Misha wing and springs installed so I like to roll her out as many times as I can (seems only on the weekends cuz of work....blah!!!).

It's the Chick-Fil-A off 28 and Route 7 in Sterling. It's right next to Dulles Town Center. If you exit 28 off Nokes, it's right there... Usually a good mix of old American Muscle, new muscle (Vettes, SRT), Japanese (Evos, etc.), and Euros. Most of the crowd is very respectful/appreciative of everyone else's rides. It's pretty fun and getting PACKED now that it's summer. I'll PM you my phone # if you ever want to link up.

 

I'll reserve my "wtf are you doing in Manassas on a friday nite" comment for another time.

Big difference between "the OC" and "OC". Those bastard cops in OC-MD are everywhere.

 

LoL Yea, right after I moved to DC from L.A few years back, I asked one Cab driver which areas are bad around town and should be cautious. Manassas was one of the place he mentioned after north east DC. But, later I found out that it's not too bad.

 

You just have to like your necks red, your shorts short, and your trucks big... And damn it, you better have your favorite NASCAR driver's sticker on your car!!

 

hahahah. I can't believe that Manassas is considered a suburb of DC now. When I was growing up, that was the waaaay out country part of VA. Now people actually communte into the city from there!

There is a thread on the DCEvoClub.com website. It is right off Route 28 at Nokes. If you come from Rt 7 (Tysons) go to 28 South, then left @ Nokes and a right into the big lot - you'll see the Chik. From the toll road, take 28 North, the right @ Nokes.

I'm out tonight - it's too frigging hot and it might have a shower or two... Maybe next time.
