I don't know why everyone is so concerned about David's car getting stuck in the sand. If you look closely you can tell his car is specially prepared with 3" extra travel in the rear and he has installed special sand paddle tires in the rear to greatly enhance traction.

The paddle tires worked great. Threw a lot of sand around with those on.
The car never got stuck. My wife was not use to the LWFW and kinda popped the clutch. Just spun the dirt for a few seconds before it took off. Nothing major. That car did great on the sand, paddle tires and all.
