Just when we thought it was safe to drive again on 495, the local 6speeders of MD/DC/VA caused havoc.

I agree, we def need to do another run in the area (heading towards PG county/wilson bridge, then maybe down towards the waldorf/la plata area where we can maybe go to la plata to the green turtle pub and restaurant??? Just a thought and a nice drive out there.

Bull - I thought you were going to take us towards Mo Co via Tyson's. I was wondering where you were going.

Ahmad - Missed you out there bud. You would have loved the "10 minute" drive.

The rest of the guys in the VA TOUR - Nice tour out to Reston then Fair Oaks. THAT GIRL AT COASTAL FLATS WAS HOT and SO WAS THE FORD GT!!!! WHEW!!!

A few of us were throwing ideas up in the area for a more controlled drive w/ possibly police escorts maybe. I've heard of the local HOG (Harley Owner's Clubs) starting big parades where they start at Dulles Airport (Roll down one of the runways - which I think would be insane if each of us could take a spin PINKS - ALL OUT down one of the runways one at a time), then go for a stroll down to the water front in DC or whatever. Just posting some ideas up. We seem to always get a great amount of interest at these events, but are having trouble coordinating effective routes, etc. While I would love to do these Gettysburg tours and such (planning on hitting the october event), I would like to stay as local as possible. Those tours take me almost 2 hours from home.

What does everyone else think??? A charity event would be best IMO.

I don't know if you noticed but on our first run, I actualy almost f@cked up my car. I did a "money shift" from 3rd to 2nd, but was able to catch it quick thus not causing my pistons to fly through the rear hood/trunk. For a bit I thought you noticed because you sorta smiled and let me line up again. If you're going to the OCT Cap. Raceway meet, can't wait to see your BEAST tear down that track!
I will definitely be at the meet in October, but its at MIR not capitol, MIR is a far better track and one of the fastest tracks in the country, i urge u to run your car at this meet to see what it does. I heard your miss shift on the first run, hence I lifted so we could line up again...i like to keep it fair Your car is a beast and id say it traps a solid 124+easy, are u running 93 octane

I will def. make it if you're going, I've been wanting to see your car rip down any track any way

I'm running 93 Octane and I believe the GIAC chip was tuned for 93, I didn't get the 100 Octane tuning.

Don't take this personal Berk, but driving dangerously on 495 is not my idea of having fun... I drive for a living so I need my license to earn a living not to mention that I have a family that depends on me... I like to pick and choose the roads wisely... I had an outstanding ride home on some great roads with almost NO traffic after I got off the beltway... I'm just not going to needlessly put myself in harms way...

I'm sorry you don't like wandering too far from home... The last 3 tours which I organized drew people from 6 PCA regions from NJ, PA, MD, DE, VA & WV... They take a tremendous amount of effort to put together properly... It's worth it though... Gina and I enjoy seeing the people have a great time...

I'll show up to the next one in VA if there's not a PCA event going on that day... It's always good to see old friends and make some new ones... I was having fun driving Gina's RS4 until she took it away from me... That might have been a good thing...

Not Justin but I noticed some people are going literally at a speed limit at 55mph and trucks are passing them. I think my average is around 70-75.

AvusRS6- You should definitely come to MIR. If you beat Drivenagain, then your car is crazy fast! Didnt you say it dyno'd something crazy? Anyways, wish I could've been there to see the run. You both have very fast cars.

Berk- That sounds great. I think Jason is setting up a charity cruise. If you can get access to a runway strip that would be AWESOME!

haha...which is probably more dangerous...slow down to 40 and block traffic and then jet off at full throttle...I was doing 80+ for a little bit of it and was getting scared...good thing the cops would have gone after all those shiny Porsche's before they go after my little old 3 series...

yeah I felt the back-end get really light on a few bumps and hills (sort of Nurburgring Ring-ish) of those so I backed off the throttle a hair...thats pretty far from anything close to civilization so I didn't want to lose it...

actually, you know that one hard banking left turn that is probably close to 90* on that one road? I know of an Audi that went off there and rolled into the cornfield...that turn always makes me slightly nervous now...

Yeah, why did Bull go right on the split? Did you take the Beltway all the way around through PG Co or something?

Bull,

No offense taken my friend, I would rather be going 75 in the back roads set at 25mph speed limits in residential roads in the FredNeck area. That's a heck of a lot safer for our cars and the road bikers/neighborhoods (and families in those neighborhoods). I didn't hit more than 100 for maybe 10 seconds.

Hopefully see you guys in October. I hope we'll be travelling at speed limits on the back country roads.....
