SharkWerks/Carlsen Porsche Bay Area Meet September 22nd in memory of Luis Aldaz #77
Thanks... family the Luis
Estimated friends and companions of Luis,
On having found out for Gail of Porsches's concentration for September 22 in Santana Row and that you dedicate in memory of our son, we want to join you from Spain with these few letters, to be grateful to you with all our heart for this demonstration of friendship and affection towards Luis.
Already they will have passed almost six months and he continues being present in our minds and hearts. A sorrow that we never take inside will be able to weaken, but we feel happy to see that your memory last report in the persons who knew him and estimated him.
You can be sure that from the Further on, Luis will be with you and as like always … making roar your engine as if in his your abdomen it was going " 77 lions instead of horses "
We hope that you have a wonderful day and the concentration is the biggest of Porsches that one has seen in California.
For all… our deep affection and friendship, and especially thank you for this magnificent gesture towards his person.
A strong embrace on, behalf of Luis, of his parents, sister, niece and other family.

When I was switching freeways I lost control....I have no clue why?!
It turned side ways out of nowhere and then spun out.
I'm lucky,it didn't shot off shot into the rest of traffic. By the time I hit the sidewall I wasn't even going that fast and I barely felt the impact.
I called AAA to tow it,but the wait was too long. Instead I just drove it from Santana Row to Carlsen again.
Luckily my Dad came in his c2 so I hitched a ride home with him.
Special thanks to Alex & Brain for helping me out!
DOES ANYONE KNOW THE NAME OF THE GUY THERE WHO OWNED A BODYSHOP?

I like this one.
Good to see everyone out, despite a little rain...I didnt see any cars melt so I think everyone made it home safe.

Hey folks, I just wanted to say a few things.... First off all I'm simply amazed at how many of you folks showed up despite the worst weather we've had so far this year. The first year of rain (and dangerous too) and yet so many of you braved it and came out (Luis would have been proud!). It just goes to prove that us Bay Area Porsche owners are truly hardcore. Where else could you see a CGT (Fayence you get special harcore-browny points!), GT3s, RS', high HP 997TTs, high HP 996TT's, 993TTs, beautiful/classic 911s, modded 996s, modded 997s, modded Caymans and so many others out and about in the pouring rain at 8am on a Saturday? I told you that we would "own" Santana Row this Saturday although I didn't imagine it would be due to the rain
Pure, utter Porsche-****.
I want to especially thank you for being responsible, careful and although we had one unfortunate incident (my pleasure with the help and so sorry about the bad luck) by in large we got there in one piece despite the elements. Thanks ladies & gents. Truly.
Also, thanks to Brian and _everyone_ at Carlsen Porsche for hosting us again this year. For four years we've been invading their lot and usually on a "wouldbe" busy day and eating/driving their food! The owners/staff always make us feel at home and this there is no other dealership in the Bay Area that could or indeed would support this type of event like that.
Thanks to Dave Hall at Motorsport Design for coming up with that awesome Decal in memory of Luis. You always do such fantastic work and you came through again.
Thanks to Mike@EVO (and John!) for getting our 3.8L GT800 car tuned and ready to go in time for today. I know many of you had questions for them on their day off about our car, their 700hp 997TT and then some... The GreatWhite is back in the bay area and let me tell you she makes the old black car feel like a nurse shark. I did not push it one iota out there today for obvious reasons but last night was enough to make me realize that it's quite a handful. She'll be living at the shop and has many of the newly added features that the EVO guys have put together in recent weeks to add to an already monstrous GT800 kit. The 3.8L kit has been a long, drawn out process that has given both SharkWerks & EVO some real food for thought. We both came up with the idea of getting the GT800 power level but with the spool up charachteristics similair to that of a GT700. I would say we we have tackled it head on and certainly gotten some great results thus far and in the coming weeks I'm sure Todd, Mike, James and I will have plenty to say on this topic so watch this space. In the meantime, feel free to drop by the shop and twist James' arm for a ride...
I promise we will do this again. To the folks that couldn't make it, believe me I completely understand and I _promise_ that when we do try this again it will be sunny and warm. I also wanted you guys to all know that after 150 cars I had stopped posting because it was just futile. Had it not rained today it we could have had as many as 240 cars out there (that's how many Emailed me saying they would come dependant upon the weather) and we obviously need a "bigger" boat if we're to attempt this again.
On a final note I am going to be submitting some of the best pictures to Modified Luxury & Exotics as they intend to cover the event. If you have any pictures that you would like to submit please send me an Email to alex@sharkwerks.com and I will see to it that you get credited for the work/submission. I think there's actually a good story that can be told about the Bay Area Porsche community coming together to remember a fellow modaholic in the pouring rain....
The weather looks clear for next weekend so so most of you on Saturday at Santana Row as usual and then on Sunday at the Danville Event. We'll be bringing the RS out as well this time along with a few mods to display
PS Gail, it was really so nice to see you out there and you know that you are absolutely welcome/invited to any/every event we have. As much as we all enjoyed Luis' company you're just as much a part of the Porsche community and always have been (just not as loud)!
