FUN RUN to the PORSCHE CLUB RACE at Summit Point - Saturday, October 6th
PORSCHE CLUB RACE FUN RUN
to SUMMIT POINT, WV
[Saturday, October 6th 9:00-10:00am meet; 10:15am Departure]
When: Saturday, October 6th… We will meet between 9:00–10:00am for a prompt 10:15am departure time.
Where: The meeting place is right off I-70 on the way to Summit Point… We will gather in the parking lot of the Weis Market in Frederick, MD. There’s a McDonalds and gas stations nearby… Directions below:
Bring: A full tank of gas… A desire to drive your Porsche on curvy scenic roads and watch some great racing…
Event Info: We will parade our Porsches to the paddock area where all the race teams are located… The concession stand will be open for lunch… You can enjoy the race from the bleachers or bring a chair and pick out a great spot to view the race… THERE IS NO ENTRY FEE… Saturday is sprint race day and perhaps the most exciting day to view the racing… Many of the local Porsche performance facilities have race teams and will be present… Excellent opportunity to network…
RSVP: Not necessary unless you want to – Just show up at the Weis Market and we depart at 10:15am…
Event Fee:FREE& OPEN TO ALL…
Route: This route will take us to the Club Race at Summit Point, WV via some very scenic back roads…

Directions to Weis in Frederick:
From RT 70 West:
Get off I-70 at Exit 49 which is ALT 40 - MIDDLETOWN exit… At the end of the exit ramp turn RIGHT on ALT 40 and continue to OLD CAMP RD and turn LEFT… Then IMMEDIATELY turn LEFT into the Weis Markets parking lot… GET MAP
From other areas: Use your GPS or favorite online mapping program and head to address:

Those that have been on my tours before know that when I say twisty and curvy I mean it... The route I have chosen between Frederick & Summit Point is EXTREMELY twisty, curvy and some roads are a real rollercoaster ride

Im going to mark this on the calender, but Im waiting for the gettysburg run. I live up that way and can give you some "all for tires off the ground" hills and curves up this way. Any dates in mind yet?

Looks like GREAT weather for the club race... We should have a rather large tour group to take to Summit Point... It will be a blast especially Rollercoaster Road as I have named it... I wonder how many will go airborne...

It's finally here... The weather is supposed to be spectacular... I was at Summit Point today going over final details... We should arrive right at lunch time just before the sprint races... The drivers I spoke with today think it's great that we are coming out as a group to watch them race... We should have a GREAT time...
