a couple of questions (for a 997S)

1. can you revert to stock shifter when you sell the car (since you're cutting the bushing clip)?
2. are the cables easy to calibrate or does it take a while to get it to work right?
3. would you include extra stuff bought on your website in the free shipping (if it can be shipped together of course)?

I am also curious if you can revert it back to the stock shifter without it being noticeable. Because I heard that dealers won't cover the 2nd gear pop-out issue if the gearbox has been modified in any way.

when you install the BM SSK, you need to break the plastic bushings, you can not purchase just the bushings from Porsche, well you can but it comes with the shifter and the base.Proper cable adjustment is everything with this SSK, if you don't do it properly it will be very notchy and hard to shift. When you are installing it just make sure you mark the cables, the more you fine tune it the better it will feel.Once its in and setup correctly you will not know how you lived with out it.

is it possible to drive it a few days half assembled to make sure that I don't have to open the whole thing again when it needs some extra adjustment?

I know it's not going to be pretty but still saving a lot of potential work

is there a guide as to how to fine tune the adjustment with the shifter? Hell my stock shifter doesnt feel smooth right now, hate for that feeling to be amplified.

Thats the way to go, but it may not need a few days, what I did was install it and take it for a good drive, then I adjusted it a little bit and try it again.I did this 2 or 3 times.I had it in , adjusted and tested, and back together in a few hours, it wasn't my first install on a 996 so I was pretty quick. As for the question for a guide for adjustment, there is no guild that i know of, however there is a quick snap on tool from Porsche, you snap it on to the shifter and what it does is center the stick and you can make your fine tuning from there, I have never used this but others have and say it works great, i don't think its more then $10.00 or $15.00 from the dealer.
