It is both... For those who want to take part in the drives, there will be two organized groups, one from NY and one from Boston. At the end of the run is a Meet. I have several people who are thinking about just coming directly to the event. Currently we are trying to get a Mclaren F1 to come to the event... that would most likely be brought in on a trailer I would assume.

After 2 days I have close to 50 cars!!!

You could ride along but to enter with the other cars, you will have to make a donation.

Your Donation will give you raffle tickets for the many prizes we have as well as get you food

Newport was and IS a great location, just not for this many cars...

Last year we were forced to stop traffic just so we wouldnt lose so many people... we had 19 cars in the boston caravan... Right now Im looking at 100+ cars... its gonna be tough to keep that together, Colt State Park is right off the highway pretty much, not many lights to go through and very easy to get to... Also the venues I had been contacting in and around newport wanted 1,500-4,000 to host the event... while they are AMAZING locations... I wasn't going to be able to actually going to be able to donate money because everything raised would of went to expenses. Colt State Park was paid for out of my pocket, very very minimal costs...

sorry

didn't mean to sound negative, sorry about that. It is for a great cause and you clearly put a lot of effort into this. I hope to be attanding..... and will pay the entrance fee etc no problem. Sounds like a good time....

wish there was a way to get this post to stay at the top so others can see it.... maybe I will post a link from Rennlist?

Thanks for setting this up....

Mickfluff, no negativity taken... I have been putting events together give or take for about 4 years, when we started going to newport it was great. But we had a fraction of the cars...

In the first week of the event I had just over 50 people coming... We annoyed a lot of people last year when we stopped traffic... I didnt want to do that this year...

nice

can you just give a quick note on how this works. I could care less about the 30 bucks, charity so not my concern. Just curious how the time is set up? Pay entrance fee and your car will be on display etc? If not pay fee to come in and look at the cars? either way fee is Ok and sounds like a deal to see such cars in person no doubt about it. Nice job.....
