If you are a very large dude this can cause enough alignment change when you're in the drivers seat. The solution would be to cornerweight and align with the drivers seat weighted similar to you.
I'm around 215lbs, I'd expect the Porsche tech to be aware of any need to weigh the seat if that's necessary, however, they haven't specifically mentioned that they do and they haven't asked for my weight.
I have had the slight veering to left issue (we drive on the left here) its not much but ever so slightly. I'm on PSS10's with the correct heights with numerous wheel alignments but its still there, they said its just the camber in road and to not worry about it, I kind of think this is true because when the road seems to be level it doesn't veer off but as soon as the road leans a bit it will follow that direction.
I have just add a couple of extra psi of tire pressure to the side that it pull and seems to help.
I get what you're saying about the roads, I thought it could have been caused by the angle on the road or the wheel grooves in the road but no matter where I drive on the road the slight pull would always be to the right, never to the left. Although it did seem to be less severe on really flat roads. If it's not passing the techs road test after being adjusted, I'm assuming it's too much of a pull for him to be happy with and likely not just due to the road being driven on.
Hey Jean-Marc,
I might be running back up there Friday/Saturday for some parts, maybe I can do some investigating if the car's still there... can you email me the alignment sheet?
Have they corner-balanced? Checked the brake calipers?
Like a kart, 911's are amazingly sensitive to alignment/setup...awesome when dialed-in, not so much when not...

Rob, I'm hoping they'll have it done before the weekend but who knows. I'm not sure if they've tried corner balancing it or looked at the calipers.
It did drive pretty straight on my way home from the track last week but then 3 days later, on my way to London, it was pulling again like before!?!?
I'll send you the last alignment sheet when I get home tonight, but the one they showed me the other day looked very similar to the previous one.
What confusion are they having adjusting the height? Japanese coilovers are generally double height adjustable unlike most coils for euro cars (which I really have never understood as double adjustable seems far superior) but maybe that is throwing them off?
I'm hoping the JIC specific instructions I sent them will help.
Would raising the ride height also change the bump stop height? I thought they were independent and could be height adjusted without affecting the suspension performance.
I'm really happy with the ride height so I was hoping they wouldn't have to change it unless absolutely necessary.

Yes with double height adjustable coils you can change the ride height totally independently from the spring preload which is nice.
I had the same issue with Moton's in my car, GMG aligned the car yet it continued to pull right. Then, I tool it back for a full corner balancing using their individual scales and boom all good.
Since then BBi has taken care of my suspension setup and they do the same practically, but not using digital readers or lasers (old school). I am enclosing my setup from GMG, hoping this will help you as well.

Arman, thank you for those specs. I didn't ask them if they corner balanced the car because, to be honest, I didn't even know what that was until now when I just looked it up, lol. Makes sense though how that could have an effect on alignment.
Corner balancing must be done prior to alignment as any change in ride height/balance will affect alignment...knowing your pull issue I'm surprised your dealer (well maybe not surprised) didn't corner balance first...should be done with you or something your weight in the drivers seat

They just said corner balancing is something they do by request. I wish I new how important that was so I could have asked for it. Seems like it should be part of a regular alignment on a high performance car like 911 Turbo, especially if they're having difficulty with the alignment.
Anyways, they figured out how to adjust the coilover heights, and say the tech is really happy with the alignment now. I just hope that by adjusting the height they didn't throw off the corner balance.
Again, strange they wouldn't just do one.
