Best thing you can do with that shiny junk SRM fuel Pump is take it out and throw it away.

Absolute junk.

Wiring harness made by an 5 year old and an incompetant one at that.

They had some early flaws with the kits but I think they have it sorted now. I've been to the shop twice, they really do strive to make great products. I wouldn't hesitate to use any of their products. Your best bet is to email Sean. SRM is a startup operation that consists of only Sean and Kyle and they are doing everything themselves, so if they don't respond just keep sending the same email every few days and they will get back to you.

Sean is a stand up guy. I needed some help and parts he sent them out right away. Once I got it squared away and some items corrected I've had zero issues with mine. I'm running dual brushless pumps btw.

Sean the fuel pumps wiring fell apart and the blue 3D plug didnt fit when I first got the pump as you well know, we discussed what I was doing to remedy the situation at the time.

What you sent me was absolute rubbish even my gf thought the wiring was a joke.

I gave you many chances to supply a new loom.
You promised me a replacement over a year ago, I got nothing.
I mailed again "yes next week a new loom will be ready" I was told, still nothing.
I mailed again, no reply.

Ill send the pump back which I hope you will repair and return as you say.
Ill wait with baited breath.

Sean its a real shame I had to go to these lengths to get a result from you mate. Lucky the forum exists or I guess id still be waiting.

Did you ever send the requested fotos the shop asked for? I would expect just about any shop would want to see the failure before sending replacement parts. And if the harness was all that was bad why did the dealer replace the entire assembly to include the jet pumps and float?

I could be wrong but it sounds like some shop upselling factory parts when none were needed

The harness failed in the tank after the harness out of the tank fell apart on arrival in Australia.
I completely replaced the out of tank harness at my own cost, no complaints. It was only after the in tank harness failed I became pissed off. The dealer stated I was lucky I didnt blow my self and the car up.

I supplied Sean with whatever info he asked for including pictures as you see above.

Dealers in AU dont fit aftermarket parts plus one of my closest mates is the service manager at the local dealer.
I can assure you No unnessary parts were fitted and no mark up was added.

So the harness was defective but you installed the kit anyway? And i hate to be the bearer of bad news but the float and jet pumps are always reused with all the kits so if the dealer installed new they stuck it to you. Unneeded parts sold.

From what i understand you were asked for specific pics of the harness that failed and never sent them. Its not up to the vendor to chase you for requested items

Like I said earlier I have become extremely intimate with my system. I don't think that it's necessary for someone else to install it. I could take it apart and put it back together in an hour. Tim it sucks that you had issues with it. I can tell you that Sean has gone over and beyond the call of Duty.

yes i read it. and you still havent answered the initial question. you were asked for specific fotos of the wire harness. did you ever send them? or just the 3 pics you posted. mind you im not looking to argue but having seen the systems in person and having a system in my car i know factually that there was no need to replace the jet pumps or the float . they have no issues dealing with the new system. simply reinstalled failure rate of those parts is almost non existant. unless the faded hoses break. to replace all of that due to a harness issues screams upsell. at least to me it does

Only issue I've seen with mine was that the dust seals on the connectors in the tank weren't up to being soaked in gas - I have one of the first systems. I removed them, no problems! Wondering how someone decided that there was risk of explosion considering how I've seen some OEM harness with bare blade connectors and whatnot.

Blue 3D printed connector worked for me, but it's a custom part so having to tweak it a bit wouldn't bother me. Only issue I can see in that picture is that someone took a bunch of expensive parts and dumped them into the box pretty haphazardly

If the stock pump was good enough for your power level why purchase something more expensive? I've had my pump assembly out 3-4 times both SRM and the OEM setup. It's pretty simple to R&R overall, what was the problem you were trying to resolve? I like that Sean's setup didn't require tons of modifications to my car, I could return to stock pretty easily if I wanted and it easily handles my power level and need for an E85 sensor.

What ive posted is what ive experianced dealing with Sean and SRM since purchasing the shiny junk dual fuel pump. If you had better luck im happy for you both.

What I post on this forum is completely honest I gain nothing from any of the vendors or suppliers on this site, no discounts, not a thing
Could you honestly say the same Steve??

In my opinion the idea of the forum is to post gained knowledge and experiences, good and bad. Is that not the case?

As ive said before the fuel pump looms that I was supplied were a joke, my 5 year old could of done a better job putting them together.
Yes Steve I did replace the loom plug and relays as the ones that were supplied didnt fit or fell apart as I attempted the install. I live in Australia mate I needed a fuel pump do you really think id return it and wait weeks before it came back or do you think id attempt repairs in discussion with Sean the vendor? I didnt post those pics mate Sean did they were the last 3 I sent him. What happened to earlier pics I sent I could not say

As you asked Magic I purchased Seans pump after the original OEM pump failed, at the time I thought upgrading was a good idea incase of larger turbos sometime down the track. How wrong I was was.

I didnt mind replacing the plug or the relays what I did mind was being continuously lied to by a vendor I paid a significant amount of money to for a fuel system that failed on more than one occasion which should never of failed in the first place.

It was supposed to be plug and play.

Plug and play the plug didnt even fit
