I have been running Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 315/30-18 rears for some time on my lowered 2001 996 TT. Last year I needed replacements and could only find Pirelli P Zero Rosso in that dimension. I now hate those tires as they make the car sound like a freight train. The rear tires are fairly worn but the fronts almost new (installed later). Still no Michelin's available.
Questions:
- Do you think it will help to flip the rear tires inside to outside?
- Michelin's are still unavailable per my research. In fact, I have not found any street tires in this dimension (I run Hoosier R7 on the track). Do you guys have any suggestions for what to get, preferably to go with my Pirelli P Zero Rosso 235/40-18 fronts.

Got a pair of brand new Falkin 315 25 19s Never mounted. What they worth to you? New here. Bought them for my Corvette and they will not fit a 19 x 10 in a 11 1/2" well. Steve
I always try to forecast and have a set waiting well in advance...an extra set or two of wheels and tires comes in handy too.
Like the Falkens a lot but would love to try the RE71R if Bridgestone would just make a 315 already...
Keep pushing Michelin to bring the tires back to us! In the interim I ended up buying 315/30ZR-18 FALKEN AZENIS RT615K. I needed something in order not to park the car. So far so good.
One strange thing: The Falkens are paired with 235/40ZR-18 PIRELLI P ZERO ROSSO's (prior interim choice). The diameter is extremely close at around 25 1/4" but I still get PSM engagement (which I can shut off) during only slightly spirited driving. Also, the Durametric shows errors per the attached picture but no panel indication. Why? Just different friction?
Weird, I just picked up a set of these Pirelli's earlier this summer for a set of wheels I put on my 6TT. They had several in stock @ Tirerack. I don't think they're noisy at all, they could have changed the design. I was reading a little while back on either here or RL that you can tell the newer version because it doesn't have any of the naming in red.

May I ask? What are some of the reasons you would want to go to the 315 wheel.
Here are some tire comparisons siting the quantifiable difference. What can you say? Just wondering if those who've driven on both can actually tell the difference. Not sure if the revolution per mile difference of -1.9% makes a difference on the odometer or not? Given these stats, what would seem to be more reason to go 315 would be more for subjective aesthetic appeal filling in the gaps. No?
